First Gig

My Dad took me to se Kenny Everett's "OK" being filmed and I remember a local band called Spider Mike King playing (outdoors) and being blown away - I think SMK is still playing - the first real gig I went to was some ELP/Manticore mob calld PFM who were dire but supported by Widowmaker with (I think) Steve Ellis and Huw Lloyd Langdon who were great - the NEXT one was Rory Gallagher at Manchester Free Trade Hall - front row seats, totally brilliant.

Hmmm. Not admitting to anything. Went to school with Steve Morris from Joy Division though - and my sister went out with Andy McClusky fron ACR and knew Ian Curtis - yes, I'm from Macc (shudders at memory).
