Born with few vowels to my name, I was raised by carrots until spotted by a talented scout at the age of fifteen and taught how to spell colander. I listened to imaginary podcasts throughout the Seventies and learnt to tell a blacksmith from an ironmonger by scent alone. I can speak nearly all languages, except Belgium's, and once wore a frown to a bootleg.
