About Me

Caught the Beatles Ticket to Ride on a 45 playing on a Radiogram in my folks siting room 1968. I was 3. Next 45 to drop was The Byrds Mr Tambourine Man.

After that there was no going back. I was hooked. First album bought with my own money was Live and Dangerous. Second was Discovery by ELO.

Fought the New Romantic Wars...(was there one?). Changed sides and shoegazed, Cured, U2'd, Souxsied, Big Musicied till the lure of House got me. The onwards to Indie Dance.

Not forgetting folk, metal and all the rest. Where do you stop. Nowhere if like me you have no sense.

Especially if you are pissed in the late 80's and you stagger across Piccadilly Circus to Tower Records which was open till 12 midnight and proceed to buy up everything your credit card could hold.

Oh the joy....and the pain.

I just can't give away any of my music. Even the crap stuff. Hence the fact that I have no room for anything in my house. Time for a cleanout I suppose.

I love the fact that I used to buy discount CD's from Sister Ray's in Wardour St in the early '90's for the same price that you can get a full price today.

Love what Napster did to the music industry. Love that they are still falling apart. Won't mention Bit Torrent!

Love live music most of all and go to lots of Gigs every month.

First Gig

Thin Lizzy, second was Simple Minds and third was Van the Man.
Moving Hearts were there somewhere. And so were The Rolling Stones who despite my tender years I've seen 8 times. Maybe one too many.

Beatles or Stones

Strange Fact

I'm just one degree of seperation from Bono which makes me 2 from George Bush.

I chinned an american lead singer (with nice teeth and Hairdresser Hair, thanks for the quote Dennis Leary) for trying to pull my girlfriend in front of my very eyes. (does that count?) The bodyguard standoff was kinda cool.
