About Me

My name is Sean (hence the clever username). I love comedy more than most things and have tried for 7+ years to try and make a career from it, whether scriptwriting, reviewing etc. Hopefully here will be a good format for me to learn something.

Since 2000 when I started actually going out to shows, I've seen around 130-180 comedy and music shows, more comedy than music, sort of 90/10.

Favourite comedians: Sally Phillips, Morecambe and Wise, Mark Watson, David Mitchell, Marcus Brigstocke, Danny Wallace, Dave Gorman and Stephen Fry

Favourite solo artists and bands: Texas, Sharleen Spiteri, We Are Scientists, Delays, The Kinks, The Police, Sting, Maximo Park, Red Hot Chili Peppers and Robert Plant and Alison Krauss album 'Raising Sands'.

Now you're testing me. I only started seeing shows near the late 90's. The earliest I can recall for comedy I think was I'm Sorry I Haven't A Clue when on tour around 2000. Musically it was later, around 2005 it was the Kaiser Chiefs supported by We Are Scientists (who I wanted to see more).

Strange Fact

Prower is a pseudonym. It is derived from a Sonic the Hedgehog character, a fox called Miles "Tails" Prower. Being a Sonic fan and not so much a fan of my common(ish) surname which letterwise and syllablewise is the same length as my first name, it seemed a good choice to make.
