About Me

I have just turned 55 but don't feel it. I love most kinds of music and have been an avid buyer since my teens. I prefer the more "Independent" films and am particularly fond of European film. Favourite filmmaker being Pedro Alodovar. I read every day and have currently been getting into 2 Swedish authors - Mankell and Stieg Larsson. TV wise I love comedy and crime, although of late I have been won over by some of the American series such as The Wire and Damages. I suppose I am what some of my friends regard as a bit of a culture vulture. I've just been made redundant and will be taking a well earned rest for a while. Thinking of taking up Bridge and walking and loading up on some box sets recommended by this fine magazine to while away the winter days. I love my football and am a lifelong Man United fan (my 82 yr old father is still a season ticket holder) but appreciate good football played by some of our rivals like Chelsea and especially Arsenal. I currently live in Brighton.
