About Me

Born at the tail-end of the sixties, grew up in Ireland , but have travelled a fair bit since then. Married nigh on 10 years and settled down in sunny Spain. Middle -ranking job, not terribly ambitious, happy just to amble along. Peaceful enough, unless provoked. Revert occassionally to my adolescent years. Musically curious, although i do like my Dylan,Cohen, Young, Cash, Springsteen, Thin Lizzy. I admire Randy Newman, Elvis Costelloe, Nick Lowe and Christy Moore. I like country ,blues and jazz and the odd bit of classical. I never really got punk. I´m not ashamed to say I don´t like reggae,hip hop or dance. Watch TV, old movies, HBO. Drink, less than I used to, like cooking and am beginning to understand the attraction of gardening. Getting old, but I am content with myself and that´s enough.

First Gig

I can´t remember, went to some minor gigs at 15,16. First big one was at Slane Castle in 84. Lied to my folks, hitched a ride with a lorry driver, slept underneath the stars until it rained and then shivered underneath a tree. Riots before and after the gig, had my sleeping bad and change of clothes nicked, met a girl. Ah yes, Dylan, Santana, UB40 and In Tua Nua played. I remember Bob´s orange make-up, giving out about the riot from the stage. He sang with Van Morrison, Bono and BP Fallon at one point. I confessed to my folks years after , but my mother claimed to have known all along.
