I'm an average bloke (married, one son). I've loved music since I first saw Millie singing 'My Boy Lollipop' on an early TOTP. My tastes are pretty catholic although I never really did like punk and don't link extreme rap. Anything past Timbaland loses me. Favourite acts are EBTG (the early stuff); Tom Waits (the early stuff); New Country; The Blue Nile; Bonnie Raitt & more.

First Gig

Can't remember. Probably something at the University of Essex in the 70s maybe Alberto Los Trios Paranois. BEST gigs, though, were Rory Gallagher at the Hammersmith Odeon and Colchester United when they beat Leeds United 3-2 in the FA Cup in '72. Come on you Us!

Strange Fact

Not strange but interesting. I went to school and was penfriends with movie director Joel Coen. He gifted me a snakeskin wallet when he travelled to India and stayed at my house. Sadly, the snakeskin wallet was lost long ago. Strangely enough, I've never seen any of his films.
