Associate Editor, Word Magazine. Until he joined Development Hell, Andrew Harrison was Editorial Director of Q, Mixmag and Smash Hits at EMAP, where he won PPA Specialist Magazine of the Year with Mixmag despite never owning a glow stick. Previously, he launched and then closed a men's magazine Deluxe, which had seemed like a good idea at the time but clearly wasn't, and he also spent a stint as Music Editor at Details magazine in New York, where he formed a one-man reception committee for British bands on tour and ended up marrying the magazine's Picture Editor. Between 1992 and 1995 he edited the award-winning and still fondly-remembered music magazine Select, which famously invented Britpop. There he had his car personally insulted by Morrissey, received numerous highly-strung telephone calls from Courtney Love and joined rave legends Altern 8 onstage in Cologne, where he was forced to climb up and down a ladder for the entire set for "atmosphere". He now lives in North London with his wife, a cat called Pearl and an 80GB iPod. The only band he has ever discovered were The La's (live review, Liverpool Daily Post, 1985).
