..is duly confirmed here, after an excruciating intro from the hairy cornflake, god looks like he'd rather be anywhere else, (preferably down the Bag o' Nails, one presumes)
Never seen that before, thanks. I wish someone would do a decent remaster of the first Cream album. With a cross-reference to the post of Rock Stars With Their Mums, does a photo of Ginger Baker exist in which he doesn't look like a rapscallion who's just been pinching apples down the market. In a recent-ish interview he said that Bonham was 'alright' as a drummer. Moody sod but a brilliant original drummer.
...Ginger always seems to have looked the age he is now. He's finally caught up with the grizzled, gaunt, haunted looks of his youth.
There's a Ginger Baker's Airforce DVD out currently, from a Beat Club performance circa 1970. One clips been circulating for years - an interminable dirge called 'Early In The Morning' (which, coincidentally, as Shane probably knows, Aussie blues-rock legend Lobby Loyde used to play with his 60s band the Purple Hearts). If the whole show's like that clip it would be tedium incarnate...
Top quality congas / smoking interface...
Baker should have formed a band with Dave Swarbrick... 'The Tabs', or something.
Clapton's discomfort with miming..

A bit like Tom Paxton...
