DogFacedBoy's picture

but this moment in Hyde Park on Saturday was quite summat

Macca looking fitter and just a little bit tipsy. And in 'what do I do once I finish singing?' dilemma

Or maybe you had to be there etc

Rats...

I was emailed Friday by a mate with 2 free tickets but couldn't go......

Perhaps Macca should introduce Neil to his tailor...

Great!

Macca did seem to be having a ball. Nice to see.

Hyde Park on Saturday...

was a smashing day. Nice weather (for the most part) and reasonably priced lager too! Worth the trip down from Glasgow on the 4.25 am train!

In addition to the Shakey and Macca show, Johnny Flynn and Mumford and Sons were great too!

I embarrased myself whilst waiting for NY to come on by asking a beardy guy with a checked shirt if he was a Fleet Fox. Turned out that he was!

Great fun

I think Neil Young has got a great sense of humour. This song and Rockin' In The Free World raised a smile.

It appears

to be only Word bloggers who didn't rate Neil at Glastonbury. All the reviews have been great.

How much was broadcast?

I was there and also thought he was great. Did a lot of his best-known stuff, which is the thing to do for a festival set, and it went down a treat.

Is it just me

Or did Neil Young act like he wasn't expecting McCartney to show up there? He didn't seem willing to give up the microphone. "You may have wrote and sung this bit, but this is my show goddamit!"

Neil at Hyde Park

My friends and I all thought it was a fantastic gig. I had a thoroughly enjoyable day.
He was better than when he played with Booker T.
