Wouldn't It Be Wonderful

TedLoaf's picture

if, with the help of Black Mirror, this record saw some Christmas chart "action" in 2011 with only 2 mp3 shopping days left?

Now, I'm not asking for some deranged, anti-fun, RATM git-fest but maybe, just maybe, after listening to the song you could download it from Amazon or iTunes and tell one other person. Or 100 other people. C'mon, as pop music goes this ticks the box marked sublime.

It's Irma Thomas

I'd never heard that song before Black Mirror

It's really gorgeous. I sought it out immediately.

That is sublime

I am sat in my office at work on my own, turned the volume up and was lost in that song for the whole three minutes. Beautiful.

Irma

We saw Irma at the Americana festival in Gateshead earlier this year. She was magnificent. By request she sang 'Midnight Train to Georgia' and it was my high point of the year. A wonderful lady.
