The seeds were all there...

it's interesting that even back in 1972 he was speaking directly to the audience in a way I've seen few performers manage. No forced humility, nor brash confidence... there is something so natural about the way he communicates with a crowd, be it in a club or in a stadium.

I love hearing superstars in the days when they were met by a smattering of polite applause. And I note the confidence that he had even then.

What is so great about that clip is that Bruce is addressing the crowd EXACTLY as he does to this day with one small exception, he's not having to project to the rear of Wembley stadium! He's STILL my all-time favourite artist and bits of information like this just make me love the guy even more. If you haven't done already you need to download the bootleg thats featured in a blog below this one. Its a goody!!
