Word Subscription

yorkch's picture

I have just taken out a new 3 year subscription to The Word - don't begrudge it a bit, love your work, etc etc- but I have noticed in the past that every time I have renewed my sub that the next edition of the mag has an offer of a free CD or somesuch for people "starting out" with the magazine. I'm not Midlake fan ( current offer) but where's the love for long time supporters of the magazine?!

Renewal

I've just renewed for another 3 years no more than 10 minutes ago online.
The painless process accepted the offer code for the Midlake album.
That seems like a little bit of love to me.

oh

I just renewed for three years over the phone. They wouldn't accept the offer code. I am Midlake-less.

I wonder if...

...Development Hell had considered negotiating reduced price Latitude tickets for subscribers? What with them sponsoring a whole stage there and all.
I resubscribed by letter, so that code thing didn't really present itself as an opportunity.

letter sub

that was my point exactly. Seems a bit disappointing but not mad about missing out on Midlake. Good idea re Latitude though....

Is it just me?

I keep catching that Midlake/subscription advert out of the corner of my eye and I swear it looks just like the Motorhead logo.
