The wonderful thing...

...about YouTube, one of the wonderful things, is that I've no idea how I ended up here, but I'm so glad that I did:

Not as good as that

pic of the chap in the oh-so-smooth hat and shades. Was that you at a 1970s Wiseguy convention? Top marks for modesty tho - unsure as to qhy you haven't also garnered affadavits for yr no doubt impressive qualities as a raconteur, human being and, blimey, lover ;-)

Have we...

...met, Paul? You seem to know me so well.

On a semi-serious note, I felt there was a distinct lack of photos of contributors on these pages, so, modesty notwithstanding, I posted my own. Whereas we're free to have a pop at Robert Palmer, John Alderton, Heston Blumenthal, Keith Allen or other Word staffers, a lot of the readership seem surprisingly coy about their own appearance. Having said that, I'll hold my hands up and admit that I stumbled at the last and resorted to a suitably disguised version of self from several (alright, about seven) years ago.

Future shock

Except it was one from about seven years in the future in my case. I think I must still under the influence of Fraser's wormhole.

Me?

I'm a cross between Josh Homme and Black Francis - ie fat, tall, balding and ginger. Sadly, ladies, I'm married.....

Anyway...

... Nick Lowe, Robyn Hitchcock and Elvis Costello. Doing If I Fell and Mystery Train, eh?

Philip Bryer | 15 June 2008 - 1:28pm

I liked it

tho I had to check one of 'em wasn't you, Philip!

I'm more...

...Nick than Elvis, but without Nick's impressive thatch. And I have to wear glasses nowadays...hang on, I'm more Elvis than Nick.
