Wise words from an unexpected source

This appeared on the shuffle today. I haven't listened to it for ages but for some reason it struck one hell of a chord with me, fair woke me up from my lethargy it did. The simple lyrics to a strange electro rock beat being rapped and screamed by a Nirvana lite bunch of Depeche Mode wannabees. Who'd have thought that my sad mid life existence could have been summed up so succinctly under such circumstances? Bloody hell, music eh?

But you have got as far as The Massive.
That alone must mitigate some of the sadness in those lyrics!
Really?
"I tried so hard
And got so far
But in the end
It doesn't even matter"
I've always thought of that song as the premier example of quasi-deep'n'meaningful lyrics which actually mean nothing at all.
The sort of thing Coldplay trade in. Each to their own.
sounds like a classic teen break-up/lovelorn tune from Buffy TVS
(I liked Buffy The Vampire Slayer)
Great group
I can't say I'm over-partial to this rapping palaver, but the Park can really rock, and do know their way round a tune. Their latest, A Thousand Suns, is an absolute belter. The production is terrific, and the lyrics have a bit less of the "O woe is me, my dad only bought me the one car when I was young" feel to them.
