Who Were The Best and Worst Comebacks?

Surely among the best was Mr Handsome Rockin Pelvis in 1968? Handsome and Epic?

From a punk point of view...

Buzzcocks did it brilliantly - coming back with a really strong album of brand new songs "Trade Test Transmissions" - most of the material matched (if not quite bettered) some of their classic work.
I guess there was the bonus that the Buzzocks didn't really have the "political" baggage of many of the Punk Rock bands. They were writing pop gems right from the off so there were no cries of "sell out!".

One comeback I never really wanted to see was Sex Pistols, mainly because they were so very special and very much of their time. To see them on the cabaret circuit without the edge and danger is a bit sad.

Aargh, my ears and eyes...

Now I have two ow-ies....

In my minds eye, I picture Alan McGee banging his head against the walls of the set whilst simultaneously burning twenty pound notes

Bonkers...absolutely crackers

Wonderful Stuff

Kevin needs to visit my wife's beauty saloon for a Back, Sack and Crack waxing. Now there is a horrible thought, Kevin on all fours.
Her name is not Eileen I might hasten to add.

I do assure you all that I know nothing about "man waxing" although my wife assures me its not painful. Just don't believe her and wouldn't want to see on of my nuts flying across the treatment room.

However Kevin looks like he might actually enjoy that!

The Spice Girls'

short lived (and who saw that coming eh?) reunion tour was a pretty blasé bit of coin grabbing while they still could. Take That managed it - but then they were fairly fondly remembered and could cut it live. The absolute highlight of the Spice Girls' reunion was the excuse for packing it all in early: 'To spend more time with our families'. That'll be the families that you have taken on tour with you and are parading around on stage every night then. Still, scans better than 'it turns out people weren't bothered after all'.

I see Lou Reed is cancelling gigs all over the shop

Could the coin - finally, after all these years - have dropped?

Prefab Sprout

Didn't they release an album called 'Jordan : The Comeback'? I'm still waiting for her to go away.
