Who is the lead singer of Jethro Tull?

Beany's picture

1. Gerry Anderson
2. Ian Anderson
3. Pamela Anderson

If you think you know the answer to this stunningly difficult question go to the website www.progrocks.co.uk where you can win a Fender guitar signed by Steve Hackett (Genesis), Ian Anderson (Jethro Tull), Ray Shulman (Gentle Giant), Mark Kelly (Marillion) and Roine Stolt (Flower Kings). All courtesy of EMI's promotion of their Prog Rocks compilation CD.

You have until 30 November to come up with the answer. I'm sure someone in The Massive knows the answer. Darned if I know but I do have my eye on a Charisma Label Mad Hatter t-shirt.

Pamela Anderson...

Thick as a brick?

It can't be Gerry Anderson

he was living in the future

It's not

Benny or Viv then?

Not sure

I think they were the married couple from Abba.

Is it

the flute?

0

The flute was

H R Puff and Stuff ( older readers only)

Flute

Well we are fairly sure at least two of them can blow a flute ( I will lie down as I feel I am under the influence of Lenny )

Roxy Music

Roxy Music are on the prog rocks CD they are advertising.

I've never thought of them as prog (or progressive) and don't intend to start now.

I've entered but can't play the guitar.

The first two Roxy albums..

..definitely had proggy elements, then of course they turned into a warmed-over funk band with a vocalist who sounded like Snagglepuss.

First album

Produced by the Poet of Prog himself, Pete Sinfield. I still think his finest hour was Land Of Make Believe by Buck's Fizz.

It's a trick question, obviously

None of the above. It's Gillian Anderson

Ooh! Ooh! I know this!

Oh, wait a minute ... I see what they did there ...

ATM: Pamela Anderson, Aqualung(s) and Baywatch

Can anyone help me complete the joke that's so obviously in here somewhere? Thanks

Anyone

want to buy a signed Strat scratchplate?

0
Jim M | 2 November 2011 - 8:42am

Nope. Who's on first

Martin Simmonds | 2 November 2011 - 10:51am

Hmmmm

Judging by some of the Youtube footage I've seen of recent Tull, Ian Anderson has completely lost his upper range. I'm seeing them play TAAB in April and it might be better if Pamela Anderson is out front.

Pamela Anderson

out front? Hmm.

The real question, surely, is...

...who are Flower Kings?

Never heard the name let alone a note of music.

Colin H | 29 November 2011 - 2:05pm

Well here's one for a start

Flower King Of Flies - The Nice
Spark up yer joss sticks and shake yer beads!

Not what you meant... but any old excuse
