Who Else Needs to "Lose the Beard"?

david.franziskaner's picture

To be brief:

I'm happy to report that, according to the pic accompanying this piece in today's New York Times, Sting has at long last had a shave.

Given their prevalance - in fact, de rigeur requirement - in some music circles/genres (take a bow: Fleet Foxes!) who else needs to apply some sensitive cooling gel as soon as?

Nobody...

as far as I'm concerned all male musicians should sport a beard; females less so.

Not musical

But Adrian Chiles just looks sinister.

I used to think that Steve Earle should lose his beard

He's probably had it for about 10 years now and recently I thought it made him look like a hobo. His wife (Alison Moorer) is almost 20 years younger than him and they've just had a baby....she obviously likes it.

I actually like it these days. It gives him a bohemian look. I might try it when I'm his age.

Jarvis Cocker

Can't get used to it, I'm afraid

O'Hare...

...out of Mulligan & O'Hare.

It's definitely held them back.

Sting may have lost the beard ...

... but he appears to have morphed into Rupert the Bear
