I was listening to El Pea earlier, now I'm listening to Nice Enough To Eat, then it will be You Can All Join In.

Having heard most of these tracks on these comps in the first place, they don't sound out of place to me at all. In fact, every time I hear Mother Goose, I expect to hear Quintessence's Dive Deep next.

Maybe I'm just trying to relive my youth?

Never really got round to investigating Talking Heads, so I thought I would.

I'm listening to a three-CD box, which is apparently a good intro to the band, but after a CD and a half of it, I have the feeling a less comprehensive Greatest Hits would probably do me.

just acquired three double albums of them (Yankee, Ghost, Sky) on the strength of really liking a single track off a sampler (Muzzle). After one record I'd say they've got nice chords, odd sounds, and a rather lugubrious singer.

The remastered MMT is a revelation - I never cared much for Side 1's tracks (save 'I Am The Walrus') but being able to hear the depth and texture now imbues even 'Blue Jay Way' with hitherto unknown depths, brings out that gorgeous spacy, bass-pulsing outro to the title track, and spruces up the over-familiarity of 'Strawberry Fields' 'Penny Lane' a treat. Am totally besotted by it now.

This is really good, an uptempo mix of breaks, techno and dubstep, beautifully mixed (with the exception a one mid-album bummer) and life-affirming in its drummy funkiness. Methinks I shall be mostly listening to this for a while.

It's World of Skin's We'll Fall Apart, WoS being a side project of Michael Gira and Jarboe, leaning more heavily on Jarboe's vocals than Gira's. Eerie, dark and epic, just as you would want and expect.

I didn't get this the first couple of listens but it's really clicked for me today: a futuristic, totally immersive mix of downtempo drum and bass, dubstep and RnB just begging for someone to call it a new genre and give it a name. Beautiful.

Ignore the haircut if you can, this is an amazing mix. Hauntology, shoegaze and Kraut; the build up to the Mogwai remix and then the track itself is jaw-dropping.
