What a Line Up !
Posted by Sour Crout on 19 February 2010 - 8:49am.
I'm lucky that i have a work colleague who has fantastic taste in music. His choice today,we take it in turns, was this. Have you seen who plays on this ?
Robert Palmer backed by The Meters with Lowell George on Guitar. That's some band.Bernard Pretty Purdie plays drums on other tracks on the album.
We tried to come up with a modern day equivilant. This is what we came up with.
We'd like to see James Hunter (Keeping the UK vocalist theme) backed by The Roots with Ben Harper guesting on guitar.
And You,Dear Massive ?

Pressure Drop
Sneakin' Sally is indeed a funky piece of work thanks to the Meters and Lowell George. Robert managed to get the whole of Little Feat to perform on the follow up album 'Pressure Drop'. It features this version of the Lowell George song 'Trouble'
I know Robert Palmer hadn't really hit the big time...
when he made Pressure Drop, but he could at least have bought his ladyfriend some clothes.
That's Chris..
Blackwell isn't it?
(From the same album.."Gimme An Inch" ooohwee!
Little Feat in J-pop shock:
Little Feat, in their pomp, also backed Akiko Yano on her 1976 LP Japanese Girl.
