Watch a Danish man interview Lara Croft

I'm frankly amazed that the newspaper in question decided the video was a good idea to publish, but it's so amazingly cringeworthy, it's worth watching.

Some poor model has been dressed as Lara Croft to promote the new Tomb Raider game, so a Danish journalist take it upon himself to ask her some 'tricky' archaeology questions... until her people step in...

The cliche

of the continental journalist asking stupid questions is all too true sadly. My highlight of the Swedish US election coverage was one of the leading journos - think of a Swedish Jeremy Paxman - interviewing the governor of Ohio in depth questions about the role the state would play in the election. The final question: 'Do you know any words in Swedish?'

That reminds me...

...what was the name of the spoof Belgian journalist that the Melody Maker used to carry in the late 80's/early nineties?

Terrific - that and Mr Angry

I don't know...

Don't we all know the answers to those questions? I was taught about the ancient Egyptians and Howard Carter at school - 1922, isn't it? ;o)

I, too,

learned the Egyptian stuff at school, and (my trump card) I went to school with Howard Carter's great nephew. I also know about Angkor Wat. (Through being interested in the wider world.) However I've absolutely no idea what the answer to the Xenophobia Jones question might be. Sometimes I feel so out of touch with what really matters....
