Yup...
Chris Whitley, Evan Dando, Whiskeytown and The Sleepy Jackson.
I'm sold.
I recently admitted on this here site that I'm a relative newcomer to Bruce having takena punt on, and been pleasantly surprised by, Magic.
Anyone want to suggest the next couple in my Springsteen Primer?
Darkness.....
Darkness on the Edge of Town is my favourite. Born to Run a close second.
Thansk
Steve, much appreciated. HMV thanks you too.
Born To Run
If you go for Born To Run, it's worth considering the 30th anniversary box set which contains a DVD of one of the 1975 Hammersmith Odeon shows. Here's 4th Of July Asbury Park (Sandy) from that DVD which originally appeared on The Wild The Innocent & The E Street Shuffle.
Darkness
is a good call if you like Magic.
Good to see
the wife's on his iPod...
Oh....
I had expected the octogenarian Forsyth rather than Springsteen.
I'd have thought he could
have a afforded the 80gb ipod and got some whole albums on their...
And the best Dylan song he had on there....
was a Rod Stewart cover version.
Still Richard Thompson was duly in attendance, so we shouldn't carp.
On their what?
Come on Paul, we're all agog.
Tarnation...
You've caught me out 'there'.
