Thanks

I struggle with Marcus sometimes, but this is a great read.

I've read

that book, it's only okay at best.

Is it worth buying, Pat?

Van hasn't inspired many good books about him -there's only really Clinton Heylin's that's any good.

Hmmm

it's very slight, I sat in my back garden with a few beers and read it in an hour or two. It ignores years of his work and then claims that "The Healing Game" is an album worth talking about. I don't agree with this, it has it's moments but any Van record with the truly abominable Brian Kennedy on it is to be approached with extreme caution. He does recognise "Behind The Ritual" as one of the late masterpieces but I'd wait for the paperback or borrow it, the Heylin book is indeed much better.
