Utterly Depressing

No, it isn't funny or wacky. Yes, I'm a grumpy old bastard, but this stuff has become extremely tiresome. The cynic in me says that the marriage was arranged in order to perform the side-splitting gag.
I hate everyone involved. Rant over.

I googled Facebook and that "story" was at the top of the pile. The headline should have been a warning. Sadly, curiosity got the better of me. The Bastards.
What's the big deal?
Of all the things to get steamed up about (the continued existence of Westlife, the relentless advance of autotune, etc etc), this seems like small beer to me. If both parties were happy to do it, why the hell not? Maybe they don't regard marriage with the reverence that others do, a view with which I have sympathy.
