Essex Road Islington

Haggle Vinyl (as featured in the recent yellow pages advert) and Flashback, both worth a look.

Alan's in East Finchley

a veritable treasure trove in North London , can't recommend it highly enough . Haggle & Flashback in Essex Rd also decent but more expensive.

My $0.02

Flashback in Essex Rd well worth a visit - lots of lovely vinyl.

Haggle also in Essex Rd is run by a loon with a very unusual idea of customer service (think rude, confrontational, just plain barking). THere really are better places to spend your money IMO.

Reckless and Sister Ray in Berwick St both good

Notting Hill Record Exchange(s) used to be essential way back when

Intoxica seemed way overpriced to me last time I went in there

Rough Trade in Portobello your best bet for new / obscure stuff

Sounds That Swing in Camden (now on Parkway) v good for 50s fun!

Flashback...

...also has a small sister store in Crouch End, for information.

Can be a bit expensive at times, but there is often some goodies if you look hard. I get a fair few promo/used CDs from there too.

A bit expensive!!

I'll say. I can't remember exactly how many £s they wanted for a copy of In The Court Of The Crimson KIng that was there a few weeks back (and probably still is) but I'm sure it was over £200.

Yeah Flashback is often overpriced

but I picked up a mint Spiritualized 'Royal Albert Hall' on vinyl there a darn sight cheaper than other stores and Ebay. If you're after something particulalrly rare they are a good bet.
