Truly Shocking!

madfox's picture

As I write, Stacey Solomon is guest-presenting "Blue Peter". Surely our children need to be protected from this sort of thing. Dumbing down, last straw, etc. Views?

Nothing personal against Miss S

but Blue Peter...Guest Presenter. What are they thinking?*

*as I wrote this I know exactly what they were thinking - Helen Skelton's in Antarctica, isn't she? So they need a guest presenter to sit in. Ok.

I worked on a party for terminally ill children last year

Stacy Solomon was one of the celebs. Completely unstarry, spoke to all the kids and parents, posed for pictures with the children and was generally lovely. She didn't have to be there as it was very low key and she didn't seems to be looking for an opportunity to promote herself. I was impressed although, not having seen Blue Peter, I can't comment on her presenting skills.

I don't have a general problem with Stacey

Nice (singing) voice, sunny (in small doses) disposition, and seems like a great mum. But not a "Blue Peter" presenter. Unless she can seriously tone down that weird (speaking) voice.

As the Manic's would say..

I like her

Strikes me as a perfect fit for Blue Peter. And I can imagine she'd be popular with kids.

Me too

She's a little quirky but in a warm natural way. Sean Ryder seemed to get on with her too.

Shaun

Now there's a "Blue Peter" guest presenter I'd like to see. :O

Serious question

Who is Stacy Solomon ?

Should I have heard of her?

I was wondering...

...the same thing, CookieMeister.

Will someone tell us? Oh, go on...

'X Factor' contestant...

...who subsequently won 'I'm a Celebrity' and now does adverts for nutritionally-dubious frozen food. M'lud.

A wine connoisseur

She was responsible for one of my comedy highlights over xmas when she was on Celeb Mastermind.

Asked for a type of sparkling white wine made in the north east of France she thought a long time before answering "Jacob's Creek"

Nothing wrong with Stacy

She's always struck me as a decent type. If I was a young Blue Peter viewer, I don't think I'd have any complaints. It's not like she's chairing Question Time.

Although that would be interesting.

Another vote for Stacey here

I thought we were past judging people on their accents?

Nice girl, seems completely non-starstruck. She'll do for me.

She was on Celebrity

Mastermind over Christmas demonstrated her sunny disposition but not much else.

Yet another vote for Stacey

She seems like a genuinely nice girl

Another Dagenham Gem

Our Stacey. Harmless fun and a nice voice. All power to her and looking forward to her appearance on future word podcast.

i had never heard of her ...

... saw her on Saturday Kitchen a while back and was charmed. Our kids can do much worse.

OK. Not truly shocking, then.

I have had to open my legs slightly to fit my tail between them.
