Trombolas

(With apologies to Harry Hill...)

List those incongruous instrumental solos in full.

For starters, here's Barry Biggs with Side Show:

Look over the hills and far away

Alas it doesn't seem to be on YouTube, but Shelagh McDonald's "Look over the hills and far away" has a stunningly misplaced solo from some kind of electronic instrument which I hesitate to even attempt identifying. It doesn't help that the instrument is also far too loud in the mix - drowning out all the rest of the band.

It kind of bubbles up during the end of a verse like an approaching light sabre or an ominous electric razor, and each new notes has an odd attack, as if they have put a microphone at a home organ and you can hear the mechanics of the keys being pressed.

(does whistling count as an instrumental solo? I vote it does)
