Following the recent success of The Beatles Rock Band game. I realised we are edging closer to the ultimate. The Rock Band game where you get the 48 track master tapes and a controller to remix/ isolate/fart about with them to your heart's content. Whose master tapes would you like to get a hold of? I'll bagsie Funkadelic and Steely Dan because I think there is a lot going on in there which would be a pleasure to unpick.

I think you've got the future.
We all buy a detuned version of ProTools or whatever. Then buy the official digitised master tapes. And remaster whatever album to our own tastes.
You'd do it. I'd do it. We'd all do it. We'd make a right bollocks of it and go back to the original CD/vinyl but, by then, it'd be too late. Our coin would have been spent.
Pound to a pinch of shite, a Mickey-Mouse bit of studio software suitable for The Unwashed has already been provided so as to felicitate this means of wringing further blood from the stone which is the music-buying public.
