Top tips to Twitter
Posted by Simondrsmith on 25 May 2010 - 11:06am.
I've finally decided to take the plunge and join Twitter. Can the Massive please recommend people to follow for music (especially new music and reviews) and sport (particularly football)? Many thanks.

@biscuitbiscuit
It's
@duckworthlewis definitely exists.
How strange
You're right, it is working. Don't know why I was having trouble earlier.
Thanks Roast Potato.

I generally have no pertinent comments on music, sport or reviews, but I'm here anyway. @doyoudoanywings
*cough*
You should be following "The Big Sam" Allardyce: http://twitter.com/TheBig_Sam
Genius
Who would have suspected that one of the most entertaining things about our working days in 2010 would be to have the faux musings of a football manager, Dr Johnson, Boswell, Molesworth, a royal corpse and a sink-estate queen flashing on our screens?
Arthur C. Clarke and Philip K. Dick didn't get that bit quite right, did they?
Writers...
I follow quite a few of the writers from The Word, The Times and The Guardian, and they're quite good for posting links to their work - have a look through my Following list and you could pick off anything of interest:
@nickorton_
Some Word writers and contrubutors are as follows...
David Hepworth - @davidhepworth
Fraser Lewry - @blogjam
Andrew Harrison - @Nndroid
Rob Fitzpatrick - @rob_fitzpatrick
Andrew Collins - @CollinsA
Eamonn Forde - @Eamonn_Forde
Joe Muggs - @joemuggs
Jude Rogers - @juderogers
Matt Hall - @mattzki
David Quantick - @quantick
Caitlin Moran - @caitlinmoran
Isn't Andrew Collins
@CollingsA, i.e. with "g" as per his podcasts (with @Herring1967)
This guy is fab
@Ola_Claesson
So is this guy
@Steven__C
and for random wibblings and piffle:
@biscuitbiscuit has a Twitter username that doesn't match her Word blog username.

and @dmuper is worth following too, although he will break your heart.
Sometimes
I cannot bring myself to read @dmuper it is so heartrending.
A few I enjoy
@BumbleCricket - David Lloyd, start the car etc.
@henrywinter - Get jealous as he jets around the world watching football for a living.
@Swannyg66 - England's most entertaing player, not just on the pitch.
@Aggerscricket - England's most entertaining cricket correspondent.
Am I the only one with friends who just don't entertain Twitter? Facebook, yes - Twitter, no chance! They just don't get it...
I'm at @Native12 - with hardly any followers...
*follows*
I've only just started Tweeting
None of my friends do it. Hannah is my only follower. Sob.
(To clarify - it's GREAT that Hannah is following me. I love that Hannah's following me. The sob was because she's the only one.)
@robertarmiger by the way. Sniff.
Now following you both
Thanks Hannah.
You could win an election like this...
