Top Nonsense & fantastic factoids

I had the pleasure of meeting Beany for the first time on Friday night when I spotted his presence at the Thea Gilmore gig at Bury Met. My wife and I only had a few minutes to chat with him after the show but we talked some top nonsense between us including coming up with the fantastic factoid that Natasha Kaplinsky's father wrote "The Bear Necessities"
I think I can safely say that not a lot of people know that
It's more likely that you might know the lady in question was Eliza Gilkyson. We got there in the end via the scenic route: Natasha Kaplinsky -> Lucy Kaplansky -> Eliza Gilkyson

Yep, it's murder.
Shelby Lynne, Sheryl Crow, Shawn Colvin....I always get 'em mixed up. And I probably can't spell their names correctly either.
Sheryl Crow
and Russell Crowe adopt baby...

Always good to mingle
with the fellow Massive and missus. It was almost pure Stanley, "Beany, I presume" A sign of growing old when it takes some time for the old brain cells to kick in but we got there in the end. Had a similar meeting the night before with someone I used to work with. I just had to say at the end, "what IS your name?"
Anyway, I met Eliza pre-gig with the promoter who knew of my Disney fixation and she was happy to talk Jungle Book with me. I nipped back to my car so I could present her with my UK CD copy of the soundtrack, which included demo recordings of her father Terry, and she included Bare Necessities in the set that night.
It's a small world after all.
