Today, my choice as The Best Song in the World is:

BigJimBob's picture

Can't get it out of my head. It helps it has great lyrics: "loneliness it's got your name and your new address."

Over to you.

I Am Kloot

Perpetually overlooked, but oh so good. The first album was the stone cold classic. But "Gods and Monsters" had some fantastic stuff on it too.

Totally agree

Though I think the second album is their best. Having said that, just checked on the Wikipedia Oracle and it has this statement:

I Am Kloot are currently in the studio recording their 5th studio album with producers Craig Potter and Guy Garvey from Elbow. Working title The Sky at Night, estimated release date January 2010.

Obviously running late, but it does sound like a promising team-up.

This perked me up

This calmed me down

I remember seeing Kloot man John Bramwell when he was Johnny Dangerously (above) - a fresh-faced lad singing about love. Now his view of the world has soured slightly and he sounds all the better for it. Agree with Badger - Kloot are massively underrated.

Ryuichi Sakamoto - Bibo No Aozora/04

I cannot get enough of this track at the moment. Absolutely beautiful. From the "Babel" soundtrack, which is monumental. Great film too.
