today a busker saved my life
Posted by Danmac on 10 May 2011 - 12:22am.
Today I did what I do if the busker is playing the violin . I offer a quid if they will give me a blast of "The king of the faeries " Unless they make a complete balls up this always puts me in a great humour . So question (assuming access to the usual aray of instruements ) what tune would you part with a quid for, knowing it will lighten your day ?

Bring Me Sunshine
"In this world, where we live, there should be more happiness"
I love the "where we live" bit - could have been penned by Little Ern himself.
The wedding march
My friends had this as the misic that they left the church to on their wedding day . Yes ,about 10 feet from the door they both broke into the Eric and Ern dance !
An Whole Pound!?
Just for one instrumentalist? To lighten my day? An whole pound? Just What kind of sorcery are you encouraging here sir!?
A whole British pound
It is a little known fact that there are several musicians plying their trade who graduated from the Hogwarts music academy .
Hamburger Lady...
but only if played on the bagpipes by a midget (not a dwarf in disguise). I don't give away money lightly.
A Day In The Life...
...from start to finish. I have seen this done before and suspect that it will prove to be the peak of my entire life.
Lazyitis
Wandering through Copenhagen in 1990 a busker, seeing my Happy Mondays T shirt, lurched mid-verse from Wonderful Tonight to a rousing rendition of Lazyitis. That was worth a Danish quid.
Donna Summer
I Feel Love - the 15 minute Patrick Cowley remix.
Might even stump up £1.20 for that.
