Time for the Word massive (UK branch) to start watching Countdown again

I suppose that means he will have to give up Soccer Saturday!

I'm more interested who replaces Jeff on that, than the Countdown gig. The guy who does it in midweek wouldn't be my idea of a perfect replacement, any other ideas??

Irreplaceable

I don't think they could replace him. "Live autism" as I think Johnny Vaughan described it on TV heaven, Telly Hell. (Jeff was in his TV Heaven, obviously)

I thought Stelling was staying...

..on Soccer Saturday as well. He would be irreplaceable on that, most definitely.

He is staying

on Soccer Saturday too.

Has anyone seen the BBC's equivalent with Ray Stubbs? Poor imitation is an understatement.

The youngish bloke...

...who does it on Sky Sports News in midweek. So very very dull, might as well have Andrew Castle do it.

Setanta

We get our TV through Virgin Media's cable service and we've only just got Jeff back on Saturdays after the little spat between Murdoch & Branson. It's just so good to have him back.

And if you think the BBC version is bad - which it is - you should try the Setanta version... I watched it once. For about 20 minutes. Christ it was awful.

Awful does not go far enough

And it is so yellow as well!

I tried it and then resorted to watching Stelling on the Sky web site. Is it now available on Virgin Cable without paying for the sports package then? That would be far better.

Yes

It's on the Sky Sports News Channel (515, I think).

UPDATE: It's 517
