Thread Of The Year?
As someone who spends an inordinate amount of time with a laptop on my knee surfing, and an inordinate amount of that time reading threads on this blog, I wonder what other members of the Massive thought may have been the most interesting and/or entertaining thread of 2009?
The standard of debate here is exceptional. The wit and erudition is second-to-none. And the sheer good-natured attitude of 'listen/watch/read this' has helped fill up my iPod and my bookshelves on a constant basis.
But the sense of fun that often bubbles through on this blog often makes my day. So for that reason I'm going to say 'My Night of Shame With a Fray Bentos Pie'
And did anyone ever choose a new t-shirt slogan? The sleep I've lost over that! None whatsoever.

You just named that T shirt..
..with My Night of Shame With a Fray Bentos Pie.
I'd wear that.
Don't know about thread of the year
but my nomination for post of the year is stingono's:
A ray of light in the surreal darkness that this thread became ;-)
Yes
Nominate a post of the year too. Why not?
The Word Guide To Babies
for me.
Bloody stupid fantasy musical partnerships
The one that ran and ran. OK, perhaps there were more intellectually edifying threads this year, but for pure fun and silliness that one gets my vote.
I also really enjoyed the Word guide to babies - a heartwarming collective outpouring of wit and wisdom from The Dads of The Massive.
Recently
I liked the 'best song intro' thread, but my PC gives up the ghost whenever I try to open it due to the tsunami of embedded YouTube (a rather amusing old-school graphic appears in Chrome suggesting 'Kill Page').
Mr Crowther can always be relied upon to start some inspired silliness, like 'Bands and Their Food Equivalents'.
Most of all though, I'd just like to say:
Andy Kershaw thread back in April
You know...the one with all the fishy puns - 'cod almighty', 'I've haddock with you', etc and then with so many replies to replies that the entries went off the right hand side of the screen.
I thought that was brilliant and in its way ground breaking because it couldn't be contained within the parameters of the Word website.
Glastonbury
Although we did start this question earlier - http://www.wordmagazine.co.uk/content/what-was-your-favourite-word-blog-....
That Gladtonbury thread was the best of the virtual pub. Close contenders were the babies thread and the one where we rallied round Danmac to steer him away from the Smiths when he was at a low. And Fray Bentos.
Arrgghh!
So there is!
Stunned I never spotted it.
Well, this has already been done. Never mind.
You can all ignore this one. Fraser is at liberty to get rid if he wishes.
As you were.
Monkey Tennis revisited
A gigglefest from April. And Fray Bentos. And staying up til midnight to see Patrick get to 1000 Bloody Stupids.
And what did happen to the T shirt competition?
Got to be MNOSWAFBP
