So what if he's 42? I love that a man who used to be so po-faced, so apparently desperate to inhabit the "serious rock" cliché, should now be obviously having so much fun.
I love the song. And watching him twitch all over a stark backdrop is oddly compelling. Such a nice change of pace compared to the parade of prepackaged, highly choreographed kiddies who dominate the charts.
He definitely has a face for radio, though, doesn't he? I had a few moments watching Yorke when the camera moved in close where I thought of that scene from the old Dustin Hoffman movie, Tootsie, where the director calls for a closeup of Hoffman in drag, and everyone shouts, "Not too close!!"
can I be the first to say what a damn fine album this is. Currently half way through and enjoying it far more than In Rainbows. And how nice is it that a band can still take us by surprise and release an album with very little warning and then bring it forward an extra day - some excitement in music.
I would be one of the ladies in the orderly queue, no messing. It's great to see him getting his freak on, looking well fit at 42.
The music's as ball-bouncingly ace as ever, too.
in all manner and manifestation of the terpsichorean muse...but that was a sad student dancing on his own at a party (maybe that was the effect he was after?)
that Thom had been secretly filming my own collection of moves to help him choreograph that piece.
I trust the ladies above who are expressing admiration for Mr Y won't mind if we chaps over attempt a similar stylee whilst trying to woo them on the dance floor in future?
And they say
white people have no rhythm...
Like A Cross Between
Charlie Chaplin, Mark E Smith and Roy Orbison
'Ladies ...please ...
... an orderly queue!'
*happily forms orderly queue*
I've bought my sleeping bag and a thermos of tea, just in case it's a long wait.
*joins queue*
I've got some biscuits that'll go nicely with that tea, if you want to share...
Course I'll share.
What biscuits are they? If they're M&S Dutch Shortcakes, you can actually have all the tea and my sleeping bag. Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.
But
he doesn't smile like those dancers in other pop videos and awards ceremony shows do.
The Childcatcher
He is!!
A little bit Max Wall and Steptoe too...
Sir Mix-A-Lot/Thom Yorke
Not much difference there.....
Thom Yorke
is 42.
Funny, unsettling, compelling,daft
Fantastic
That is completely fantastic.
So what if he's 42? I love that a man who used to be so po-faced, so apparently desperate to inhabit the "serious rock" cliché, should now be obviously having so much fun.
That's a bloody lovely tune too.
Fanboy out.
Totally.
It was a bit of a cheap shot, really.
I love the song. And

Gorgeous voice, though.
Maybe he's
just found a way to make himself Fitter Happier.
If nobody else has donwloaded this yet

Sounds great
I think the old boys in Underworld do a similar dance
Is it a response to Bradford
Is it a response to Bradford & Bingley's role in the banking crisis, conveyed through interpretive dance?
I thought you meant a response to this Bradford at first ....
... now that would be interesting
Why am I reminded of this..?
One of the strangest things I've ever seen on telly ...
... the backwards speaking person of limited height. Get David Lynch on the Eastenders scripts
At first
I thought a bit of Lovely Ludvig Van, milk-plus fuelled ultraviolence was in the offing
Excellent!
Er, that's all. Just excellent.
How fantastic...

Hey!
I was here first, no pushing in line. ;-)
You're very welcome to share my thermos of tea, BTW.
Lovely, hope there's no sugar in it.
I think his hair looks dreeeaaamy in this longer style too, don't you? My god, those pants couldn't BE any tighter could they? Marvellous.
Nope, no sugar.
Oh yes, I very much approve the longer hair. (and the pants)
*sighs happily*
Me...
like.
Me Hannah.
You Patrick.
EDIT: PS Patrick, thought you might enjoy this intriguing photography project : http://irinawerning.com/back-to-the-fut/back-to-the-future/
(Apols for mild threadjack but I'm not sure how else to contact Mr C, my trained carrier pigeons are poorly)
I am one who delights..

What Thom is really dancing to:
brilliant!
it fits!
Love it!
It's The Evolution of Bad Dancing. Amongst other I spotted Cocker(Joe and Jarvis), Gillespie (star jumps) and Right Said Fred.
I think it's brilliant
but is anyone else thinking 'Jay Kay'?
I wasn't aware
that Thom had been secretly filming my own collection of moves to help him choreograph that piece.

I'm....
...re-training my left eye as we speak. As well as halving my weight and height.
Of course
there's always someone who goes too far and spoils it for everyone else
Trouble with this is..
It's not as arse-clenchingly funny as the original.
A bit of background
The video clip was filmed at the Hospital Club in Covent Garden. I met my wife there when it was a real hospital (St. Paul's) in the mid-70s.
It stopped being a real hospital in 1992.
Inspired by this fine example
of the terpsichorean art, I have purchased 'King Of Limbs' - and very good it sounds too.
