THIS TICKET IS SPELT WRONG
Posted by CharlieB on 30 July 2009 - 5:46pm.
This week I went to see American Singer/Songwriter Mary Gauthier(pronounced Go-Shay) at The Globe(great venue) in Cardiff.
When I studied the pre-printed ticket I noticed that the artist had been spelt as 'Mary Gaulthier'. This made me wonder if any of THE WORD massive had any similar ticketing experiences in their lives in and around music.
Mary was very good, playing with a clarity that every word uttered could be heard. That name though must cause one or two problems because even the support act kept referring to her as - Mary!

I've got a St Etienne ticket
from Glasgow Mayfair 1994 (I think) St Etienne is spelt St Etiene, with one 'n'.
All my REM tickets seem OK though.
I have a ticket
for the Stranglers at Leeds Poly, supported by The Jams.
Mind you we also ordered some t-shirts over the phone for our weekly Hotsnot union discos and they came back saying "...every Wenesday and Saturday"
No h in Jonny
I've got a ticket for "Jonny Marr and The Healers" at London ULU on 3rd April 2003
Jethro Tull's
first single "Sunshine Day" actually had the band's name on the label incorrectly spelled as "Jethro Toe", just two years before their breakthrough hit "Loving In The Pest".
