This is heaven

I see that this is one of my most played tracks on my ipod and its because it makes me intensely happy. It floats along beautifully, Ryan Adams backing vocals are just gorgeous and when they both sing 'I been out walking, don't do too much talking...' the hairs on the back of my neck stand up. I don't own much else by Beth Orton but this song is wonderful. So, it got me thinking...any tracks that you absolutely love but you don't own much else by the artist?

Superb
Thanks Nial. I've not listened to any Beth Orton since Trailer Park, which was distinctly underwhelming. I guess I should see what she's been up to since.
Er...
"I been out walking/I don't do too much talking"? I've heard the song but hadn't noticed this little steal before.
Anyway, back on topic
This is the only Duran Duran song that I've ever liked:
Lucas, thou art a star!
and you're absolutely right. Far and away the best thing they've ever done and the only song of theirs I have. The 5'40 album version is fantastic thru headphones, especially the backing vocals at the end. A truly wonderful song. I'll have this one, as well.
A great track
Their best apart from the Rio album.
Beth Orton
I only ever listen to one Beth Orton song, and it's this one, which also "floats along beautifully":
Miss Orton recently pushed in front of me in a queue for a Jim Jones Revue gig, so if she thinks I'm going to purchase any more of her work then she's really quite mistaken.
Ryan and Beth
had a dalliance. This is a consequence, it's gorgeous too:
Can you spot the reference to her? I wonder how she feels about it? Even after their business was over, it must produce some satisfaction when she realized she was a muse
Rest of the album hasn't grabbed me yet
...but this is a 100%, certifiable corker:
I Am Kloot, I Still Do (don't know why it's got Eccleston as Lennon in it)
And I almost don't care what the rest of Archandroid sounds like -she's surely never, ever going to top this moment:
Janelle Monae, Tightrope live on Letterman
This is far removed from my usual tastes...
...and yet I've loved it from the first listen. A work of genius.
(Lauren Hill - Ex-Factor, for the YouTube deprived)
agree
good call - great record
can't say my collection
is overly full with the works of Sunshine Anderson - but I do have this one - "Heard it All Before" is a truly fantastic record
Cousteau...
