The Dead Weather ~ Horehound
just heard preview of album...I've Appreciated but never been a massive fan of White Stripes [De Stijl was great and a few singles ] or Raconteurs but think Jack has hit the muthaload with this one. It continues on from the great Bond theme [ the best for a long time]

Now THAT's What I Call Music
'tis a belter! "Em Ay En Eye Pee You Late!" Sounds like Led Zeppelin slugging it out with PJ Harvey. Which is good, obviously.
That bloke with the long
That bloke with the long hair and the oversized National health specs does my head in though. That is not a good look and every single magazine I have thumbed through recently has this band seemingly on every page. I have no desire to hear White Stripes never mind the Solo projects and I'm sure I will have no difficulty ignoring the music but that blokes face still haunts my world!!
You've made an error
re: the White Stripes. Give this a spin - at least until about 2 minutes in. I think this is what they mean when they say 'melt your face off' guitar heroics
yeah I've heard all the white stripes oeuvre...
just think this new stuff, especially Jack's Drumming, is more melty.
Well, it'll have to do till this is released proper
Isn't this just...
Incongruous for these times?
Sorry
I'm having difficulty understanding you...can you elucidate?
Sure.
It doesn't make any sense to me if you're a musician in this day & age to re-hash old styles that were far superior in the first place.
At least "The White Stripes" brought something new to the Table.
I
love Jack White. He's great.
agreed
the Bond theme was unfairly dismissed, but it's been one of my most listened tracks of the past 6 months.
White Stripes good
Side projects bad.
