"The Wire" begins again on FX tonight

LOUDspeaker's picture

According to the Radio Times "The Wire" is being repeated in its entirety starting tonight at 11pm on the FX channel. I think it's only one episode a week.

The first series?

Oh good. Maybe I'll be able to see what it is that obsesses Word staffers.

The best show to have come

The best show to have come out of America, easily.

Not quite.....

Not as good as The Sopranos and nowhere near the heights of pre-shark Happy Days.

Wire Trivia

Omar has a blink-and-you'll-miss it cameo in The Sopranos.

"How my hair look, Mike?"

"It look good, girl"

It's a must, but only in dvd form. Can't imagine watching it with advert breaks

I'm old school

& prefer to watch things as they are on, on TV. I watched the five series and then bought the first three to watch again, but they are still in their wrappers.

Tried Old School...

but I can never be certain to be able to sit down at a certain time each week to watch a multi-part show.

Watching the Wire on DVD as and when we wanted to was a revelation, and the only bits we missed were when we dozed off it we'd sat up too late watching!
