Rumours are circulating that the Roses are playing tonight at the Hillsborough JFT96 show in Manchester. A picture is doing the rounds of the band onstage soundchecking with Mick Jones added to the line up!

They're the band you love
that I love too. Probably won't get to see them next year due to my suspicions their audience will be a bit too laddish (not their fault) but my memories of seeing them back in 89 will live with me forever. A fantastic live band whose reputation has suffered due to one bad gig (without a full line-up). Very interested to hear how this goes.

..apparently - asked the question on my Facebook page and got this reply "Ian brown and John Squire got on stage for the first time since the Stone Roses reformed and showed their support of the Justice Tonight campaign by going on stage in manchester.
they got up for the encore and did ‘Elizabeth My Dear’ and then Ian sang Bankrobber with John on guitar and then the same for Armargeddon Time…full story soon…
