I think we might have done this one before, but I need some Massive help for a presentation I'm writing!

Woof
I have recreated this iconic image
on top of one of my speakers; using a small gramophone ( a pencilsharpener actually, with a funnel ) and a plastic pig sitting exactly like that dog, but with a very funny facial expression; a cross between "God I'm bored" and "WTF?"
Makes me giggle every time I see it, but surprisingly few visitors to my home seems to get the joke, so it might be an icon that is slipping out of the collective memory. Young people probably doesn't even understand that it's a gramophone - or indeed what a gramophone is...
They probably think it's a bloody...
vuvuzela on a stand.
I TRIED to recreate this iconic image
using my Jack Russell and Sony tower speakers
Didn't really work, and the sod wouldn't sit still long enought to capture a half decent picture
Elvis Presley/London Calling covers.....
...is the obvious one.
Then there's the Pop Art/Mod targets and visuals of the mid 60's.

There is a great photo of Lord Frederick on stage wearing an ermine shawl, whilst holding a crown.

The Dame's "Aladdin Sane" lightning flash (also AC/DC's use)
How about

Sorry, my mistake.
Whether you like their music or not
you have to admit that Kiss in make up is iconic!

Beatles coming down the plane steps in the USA
Wembley Stadium live aid crowd
MJ moonwalk
.
I'm not a fan but...
...the cover of Mike oldfield's tubular Bells is undoubtedly a 'design classic' - so much so that he seems to release versions of the cover with versions of the record within it every three or four years.
Smiths at Salford Lads Club
Ahem....
Fraser....
can you allow me just this once to keep pressing the up arrow until my finger gets tired?
Marvellous... such talent, that girl.
Ahem
"Pressing the up arrow until my finger gets tired."
If you don't mind my saying, that's a Massive euphemism you've got there.
Yes...
and it was deliberate! :-)

One more
One of the many things I love about that photo is
that Dylan is waiting for the Aust Ferry across the Severn estuary (on 11th May 1966) and you can see the Severn Bridge being built in the background - the old being replaced by the new. Surely a metaphor for the 1966 tour :-)

Whenever I see that I hear the US commentary...
"....That's Peanut Butter!"
More Logos
The Compact Disc Logo has been with us now for nearly 30 years. It's probably printed on more items in my house than any other logo.
Like it or not, the Apple logo is synonymous with music these days as well.
some of the kings of rock & roll
Chuck Berry

Little Richard (and Bill Haley)
Gene Vincent
Perhaps:
Let's have a picture of They Might Be Giants!!!!
Awesome!
The images that used to adorn my wall
i'd include these two
Hard to believe they were only two to three years apart, but even without the music they seem to show different eras.
