The Final Encore
Posted by Jim Thomas on 26 November 2009 - 6:53pm.
Is it just me, or have a lot of great musicians gone to the Great Gig in The Sky this year? Perhaps this reflects a fact that DH has brought up on a number of occasions - rock is getting old and the most of the sixties trailblazers could be Students in The University of the Third Age. In place of a tribute or obituary, I thought I'd give one of my favourite one hit wonders a final encore:
As the year closes, anyone want to give a lamented favourite one more encore ?

there seems to be a new one gone every week
but Eddie Bo's records and productions have given me a huge amount of pleasure over the years. Try these for size:
Iain David McGeachy
Or John Martyn as he was better known.
I've tried to do the Sweet Little Mystery youtube thing below but may have messed up. If anyone has a moment........?
Anyway, you get my drift.
Edit: Brilliant! Didn't mess up - another skill learned.
