I think she sings in a lower key than him and his influences are evidently Rick Astley and Vic Reeve's pub singer.

does the weirdest thing at 1:09... a strange, involuntary alien movement of the mouth, like a forked tongue is about to whip out and grab you.

The fact they are from Ireland has nothing to do with it, they could come from anywhere and still be stunningly bad - the Irish don't have a monopoly on this kind of thing.

yes, I remember this from last year. It was posted in a thread about bad covers, I think. Just stunningly bad. The version of 'Everybody Hurts' makes the charity single sound like Beethoven.
