Has to be

Springsteen & the E-Street Band followed a close second by the Seeger Sessions band - quite simply no contest in the live stakes.

Ta for the link

Beautiful. I was looking forward to seeing Kris Drever with Roddy Woomble and John McKusker earlier this year but they cancelled the tour for some reason, gutted I was.

sorry should follow all lnks in future

I thought this was the start of a debate not a discussion of one band. I listened I liked and I will be seeking more....

That doesn't make you any less right about the E Street Band...

As Bill Hicks might say, you could prove it using any "home computer".

The Magic Numbers

Seriously, for me it's The Magic Numbers, their live sound is beyond any other "bands" around today. I'm in double figures for MN gigs attended already...

My other best live experiences are "solo" acts, Cohen (Glastonbury this year), Neil Young and McCartney.

This Thursday

I'm going to see Israeli "freak rock trio" Monotonix for the second time.

Don't be fooled by the antics: they are virtuosi, and the first time I saw them genuinely renewed my faith in the rock band as a format.

It's Super Furry Animals

No contest whatsoever
