The Artist Formerly Known As...

Mousey's picture

On a recently heard episode of ISIHAC one of the panelists referred to MEATLOAF as "THE ARTIST FORMERLY KNOWN AS MINCE" which I thought was so brilliantly witty I have been trying to drop it into casual conversation ever since - without any luck as neither I nor any of my acquaintances have any reason to mention ol' Meat.

I have also been trying unsuccessfully to think of an "Artist Formerly Known As" moniker for anyone I COULD conceivably talk about.

Any brilliant ideas out there?

Alice's former name

When it was first revealed that Alice was Vince Furnier, I recall that we were told his first name was Vincel not Vincent.
Is this my own delusion or does anyone else recall this too?

Lots of different sources

You're thinking of …

… Arthur "Two Sheds" Jackson, no doubt. Well yes, I'm an old MP enthusiast. Isn't everyone?

It might amuse you to know that I have, in fact, three sheds; four if you count a greenhouse; five if you count a polytunnel.

It´s a hard life

But I keep my lingonberries in the fridge in the form of jam and the herring, now, that´s the tricky one. I do need a herring shred, don´t I?
