The Artist

David Sutherland's picture

Mrs S. and I went to the cinema tonight to see "The Artist". All I can say is that it is one of the best movies I have seen in a long time, it was simply wonderful. It's a silent movie, so it may put people off, but cast aside your indifference and see it, it is worth it. The two leads were perfect with an air of handsomeness and beauty set against male pride and instant love.

This review sums up exactly how we viewed the film.

It should win many awards for its style, and in the time of 3D and action movies, for bravery too.

I agree. My wife and I saw

I agree. My wife and I saw this last night and at the end everyone in the audience spontaneously applauded. A beautiful antidote to so much of current cinema. I think the two central performances, particularly the leading man who has one of the kindest most humane faces I've ever seen, are terrific.

And the score is fantastic too. Very highly recommended.
