Great rejection letter from 1968 as posted by @LettersofNote on Twitter

even his "bog off" letters seem friendly.

I wonder did the recipient write back...

...pleading 'Don't let me down'?

Editing my smart-arse reply out

because Colin's smart-arse reply beat me to the punch.

"Curse you, Plastic Moldsman!"

But surely, Burt...

...there's room for Two Of Us?

Interesting to note the names listed under 'Directors'

of Apple Corps - Neil Aspinall, Harry Pinsker and Denis O'Dell are familiar to me, but who was S.M.Maltz?

I bet Macca sending him a letter like that...

...really wound Lennon up ;-)

You can just make out the PS

Thanks again for keeping quiet about Yesterday. Are you still receiving the cheques?

Microgramma

was certainly a popular typeface around then

Fortunately

Harry Nilsson kept sending them in---though presumably plucked up the courage to use his own name at some point ...

Seriously though, even if that was a standard letter, and my guess is it wasn't, it's a sign of decent man as you say.

There doesnt seem to have been an Apple corporate image.

Every letterhead, brochure, business card or advert I've ever seen seemed to have a different typeface and/or logotype. This letterhead has yet another Apple logo that's new to me.

The nearest they got was the record labels - there's a book to be written here, I'm sure of it.
