I haven't noticed anything by Barry McIlhenney in recent Words, or posts by his saucy alter-ego on this site. I always enjoyed his contributions to the podcast too. Has he moved on? Is he okay? Am I just not paying attention?
Hope I'm not prying - if so please delete, Fraser - just missing his work.

Mr Tabasco has a full-time position as chief executive of the PPA (Association of UK magazine and periodical publishers) these days, and has a very full plate indeed, one he doesn't need cluttering up with further work from us.
But I'm sure he'll be clambering back into the Word saddle before too long, when he's not such a busy boy.

I'd like one of those golf jobs. A friend of mine sells expensive wine to posh restaurants and seems to spend most of his life on the course.

Am thrilled and rather touched that anyone even noticed I had gone. God Bless You all. Still rocking the PPA for now, but will be back here, assuming Ellen will have me that is, just as soon as it all goes the shape of an enormous pear. Which hopefully it won't for a long time yet.
