Streamzy
Those good people at The Word have just emailed me to recommend a good music streaming service for any obscurity you care to mention and can't find anywhere. I immediately typed in Roger Miller's recording of Less Of Me, something I've wanted for a while. And there it is.
What I want to know is, what's the catch? Should I register? Should I get everything obscure I want, quickly, before it gets shut down? Is it completely legal? Can I buy music? Is there, dare I ask, a "Ctrl-click" option? You know what I mean. Advice, please, from the good folk that found it in the first place.

Streamzy
Streamzy is a search engine, pointing out streams that exist elsewhere on the web. There's no downloading involved, and even if you create playlists, they're never downloaded to your computer. As for a 'Ctrl-click' option, the interface is built in flash, so that isn't an option.
I reckon you're OK to enjoy it.
Thanks, Fraser
Concise and informative as usual. Have a good weekend.
"Good weekend"?
He never sleeps.
Top tip
Excellent! there seems to be a decent amount of rare stuff there - just enjoying RT doing "Woodstock" at the Joni Mitchell tribute concert. Is this rare? Dunno - I haven't got it anyway.
Grooveshark
Grooveshark (http://listen.grooveshark.com/) is very similar to Steamzy, as is Songza (http://songza.com/). They all work very well indeed.
There are numerous ways of recording the content of these sites to your hard disc, if you so desire. Roxio Media Creator has the Easy Audio Creator setting; meanwhile Streamripper (http://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=6172) is a free ap that does much the same. They're great for keeping stuff such as radio programmes from the BBC IPlayer Radio.
I should add that ripping streamed content to your hard disc is technically illegal. Hell awaits those that do!
Bit hit and miss?
Here's my random sample that I tried - literally the first tunes to pop into my head (which on reflection worried me a bit)
The Fall - Telephone Thing - miss
The Fall - Mr Pharmacist - Hit
The Fall - Hey Luciani - Miss
Blancmange - Living on the Ceiling - Hit
ABC - King Without a Crown -Miss
S Express - Hey Music Lover - Miss
Big Audio Dynamite - Medicine Show - Hit
Spacemen 3 - Revolution -Hit
Wedding Present - Swimming Pools and Movie Stars - Miss
Morrissey - First of the Gang to Die - Miss
4/10 success rate.
I've found Magix Audio Cleaning Lab quite good to record streaming iPlayer radio stuff although it is a bit sledgehammer/nut. I'm sure the the freebie Audacity does the same thing.
The impossible stream
Is Streamzy better than Songza, which I thought claimed to do the same thing? And Blogmusik/Deezer? And last FM? (I know the last two of these need registration). In my experience these sites burst on the scene with huge optimism and then get beaten down by lawyers into something much less exciting or useful.
