Guilty...
...as charged...
Mark...
...really enjoyed that. Excellent stuff - thanks.
Well done sir
Had a quick glance but I've bought The Observer to pore over this week: I'll read it properly soon. Congratulations - good gig!
Splendid article, Mark
I am looking forward to hearing the album considerably, now.
I'm terribly fond of Bruce
And the world would be immeasurably poorer without him, but... the state of the nation and the entertaining supermarket ramble aside, mostly I found myself wondering – as I have after almost every interview since Born In The USA – what the fuck is he on about?
...what?
weren't you moved by this?:
"And at certain moments time is obliterated in the presence of somebody you love; there seems to be a transcendence of time in love."
I think that's one of the most profound things he's ever said in an interview.
It's lovely
but if this was attributed to, ooh let's say Bono, most would say 'What a Twat'
But Bono would've said it....
Whilst holding a cigar, making a V for victory/peace sign, wearing a trilby and blue/yellow comedy shades.
Making him, yes, a bit of a twat
Bruce vs. Bono
I will have to dig deep to figure out why, but undoubtedly you are right. I would have ignored it as the ramblings of a clueless, puffed-up twat...
OK
But apart from that, what have the Romans ever done for us?
That...
was the best Bruce interview I've read for a long time. Thanks Mark.
Heads up
Anyone that missed this or didn't buy The Observer:

Nice job, Mark.
